Position Overview

The Director of Development Initiatives plays a crucial role in managing the daily fundraising activities and executing comprehensive strategies for resource acquisition at Hope For Youth. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this position is pivotal in nurturing relationships with funding sources, orchestrating fundraising events, and identifying grant opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication abilities, strategic insight, and the capability to produce high-quality development materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and assess significant public funding opportunities
  • Execute a holistic development strategy
  • Enhance revenue-generating initiatives
  • Foster relationships with donors and stakeholders
  • Coordinate fundraising events and campaigns
  • Manage marketing strategies and public relations efforts
  • Compile reports for funders and the Board of Directors
  • Revise agency materials and online content
  • Perform additional duties as required
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising is preferred
  • A Bachelor's Degree is mandatory
  • Demonstrated success in securing funds for non-profit organizations
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Self-driven and detail-oriented
  • Flexible working hours, including potential evening and weekend commitments
