We are seeking an Adjunct Instructor to join our Department of Education at Lewis University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses and providing site supervision in the areas of general secondary/middle education methods and specific content area (e.g., language arts) methods.
Key Responsibilities- Teach one or more classes in the Department of Education at any one of the Lewis University sites and/or online
- Hold office hours and meet with other faculty members and department chairs or directors when necessary
- Model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education
- Model, teach, and promote the unit standards for the Department of Education as a critical transformative educator, a multicultural educator, and a social justice advocate
- Terminal degree preferred, master's degree considered
- Illinois Professional Educator's License - Spanish Education, Secondary Education, and/or Middle Grade Education
- Experience in using technologies such as Learning Management Systems (Blackboard) and Data Management Systems
- Previous teaching experience at the middle and/or secondary levels required
