Job Title: Veterinary Assistant

Join our team at SEAACA as a Veterinary Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing exceptional animal care and support to our veterinary division.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to assist our veterinary team in providing top-notch care to animals in our care. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will work closely with our veterinarians, registered veterinary technicians, and receptionists to ensure the highest level of animal welfare and care.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal care and treatment
  • Monitor animal health and report any signs of illness or injury to veterinarians
  • Clean and disinfect animal enclosures and equipment
  • Prepare animals for treatment or surgery
  • Assist with laboratory and surgical procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and the public
  • Process monetary transactions for veterinary treatments and services
Requirements:
  • High school graduation or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a written test with a minimum score of 70%
  • Competent work history and attendance record
  • Working knowledge of a typing keyboard
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination and background check
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service to clients and the public.

The physical demands of this position include the ability to lift 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a variety of environments, including animal enclosures and laboratories.
