Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sign Craftsman to join our team at SignCrafters in lower Fairfield County, Connecticut. This is a full-time position that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for producing high-quality visual communications.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, producing, and installing signs, banners, and graphics using computer cut vinyl, digital prints, and other materials. They will also work closely with our graphics person to ensure efficient use of time and materials, monitor inventory levels, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and produce signs, banners, and graphics using various materials and techniques
• Collaborate with the graphics person to optimize production processes and minimize waste
• Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies as needed
• Install signs, banners, and graphics on vehicles and buildings, ensuring accurate placement and secure attachment
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to company standards and regulations

Qualifications and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education
• Excellent measuring, cutting, math, spelling, and grammar skills
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred

Additional Requirements

• Pass a background check and drug screening
• Fluency in Spanish a plus
• Graphics design knowledge an asset
• Previous experience in a similar role a significant advantage

Compensation and Benefits
