Medical Physicist Job Description

Sentara is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia.

About the Role:

  • Provide technical assistance in the development of treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy.
  • Monitor patients and maintain established policies, procedures, objectives, quality measurement, and safety.
  • Perform clinical research as required.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Medical Physics REQUIRED.
  • ABR/ABMP/CCPM Board Certification or Eligibility REQUIRED.
  • PhD in Medical Physics preferred.
  • Medical Physics Residents who are expecting to graduate this year are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in Stereotactic Radiotherapy and Radiosurgery, High Dose Rate Brachytherapy and Radiopharmaceutical procedures preferred.
