Menu Concept
Our culinary offerings focus on innovative takes on familiar dishes, featuring products sourced exclusively from the Mid-Atlantic region and its surroundings. The menu is crafted for sharing, including a variety of small and large plates alongside entrees, with ample vegetarian and vegan selections.

Position Overview
We are seeking skilled Line Cooks to collaborate with our Executive Chef, Ian Brown. The ideal candidate should be available for 3-4 shifts weekly, totaling 35-40 hours. Responsibilities include cross-training across multiple stations and managing the preparation and inventory of their assigned station. This role is perfect for dedicated individuals eager to explore new cooking techniques within a local and seasonal framework.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Maintain cleanliness and integrity at designated stations during service.
  2. Participate in cross-training across all kitchen stations, including Garde Manger, Saute/Grill, and Plancha.
  3. Adhere to daily prep lists and communicate any concerns regarding preparation openly.
  4. Contribute to the daily staff meal and enjoy it prior to service.
  5. Engage in creative opportunities within the menu, allowing the kitchen team to influence the offerings.

Expectations
  1. Demonstrate interest and knowledge in sustainability practices, particularly in ingredient preparation and waste reduction.
  2. Possess experience and enthusiasm for vegetarian and vegan cuisine, with a foundational understanding of French and classic European culinary techniques.
  3. Exhibit a collaborative spirit, caring for the needs of the team, management, and guests, contributing to a successful kitchen flow.
  4. Foster a positive kitchen culture, emphasizing teamwork, open communication, and a commitment to shared goals.

Qualifications
  1. Team-oriented with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  2. Flexible availability to work 4-5 days a week.
  3. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  4. 1-2 years of experience as a line cook or relevant internship preferred, though all backgrounds will be considered.
