Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse

As a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill children. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring that each patient receives the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each patient.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Monitor and manage the patient's condition, including medication administration, vital sign monitoring, and other interventions as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care and optimal outcomes.
- 1 year of recent experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit or successful completion of a KP PICU course or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.
- Pediatric Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Certification within 36 months of hire OR Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Provider Certification within 36 months of hire.
- Registered Nurse License (California).
- Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Certified Pediatric Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) certification.
- Experience in Family-Centered Care.
