Senior Carpenter

This position plays a crucial role in providing operational support for reconstruction efforts at Belfor Environmental. The ideal candidate will oversee multiple projects, train junior team members, and demonstrate expertise in commercial construction practices.

• Identify potential project issues and seek guidance as needed
• Train and mentor Carpenter Basic and Intermediate level team members
• Provide technical support and answer questions regarding projects
• Implement containment measures for construction dust and debris
• Construct metal framed walls, acoustical ceilings, and repair/replace roofing as required
• Perform tasks related to flood cutting, salvaging, and labeling baseboards, cabinets, and doors
• Develop expertise in identifying insulation types, thickness, and R-values
• Apply knowledge of trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, rough framing, acoustical ceilings, roofing materials, and exterior siding to daily tasks
• Conduct daily vehicle safety and maintenance inspections
• Maintain attention to detail and adhere to BELFOR standards
• Provide exceptional customer service and work under time constraints to meet project timelines
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and travel as required
• Report time worked and equipment used accurately
• Attend BELFOR-sponsored operations and safety training courses
• Supervise unskilled labor, Basic and Intermediate level BELFOR employees, and sub-contractors
• Answer questions about projects and refer complex queries to senior personnel
• Maintain equipment used in daily tasks and perform emergency services as needed
