Family Service Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Service Counselor to join our team at Park Lawn Memorial Group, LLC. As a Family Service Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support and guidance to our clients and their families during times of need.
Job SummaryThe Family Service Counselor will be responsible for establishing strong relationships with clients and their families, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded. This will involve providing tours of our cemetery lots, guiding families through the interment process, and building trust through excellent service and communication.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional and caring support to clients and their families during times of need.
- Conduct tours of cemetery lots and guide families through the interment process.
- Build strong relationships with clients and their families through excellent service and communication.
- Ensure compliance with state and industry regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Accurately complete required documents and submit them to the Business Office in a timely manner.
- Report progress and submit required reports to the Sales Manager in a timely manner.
- Pursue new prospects and community-based contacts through presentations and outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with funeral homes, departments, and team members to ensure exceptional service and exceed client expectations.
- Meet or exceed company standards in revenue generation to maintain employment and benefits eligibility status.
- Protect confidentiality of company and client information, including sales and marketing programs, materials, and client data.
- Participate in required training initiatives and identify and respond to hazards at the location and on grounds.
- Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
- Proven track record of success in outside sales production strongly preferred.
- May require possession of an insurance license as required by applicable state law.
- Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
- Attend and perform work in a professional and courteous manner in accordance with the employer's requirements.
- Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community involvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) preferred.
The Family Service Counselor will work in an indoor office setting, with occasional outdoor duties requiring exposure to natural elements. The position may also require travel, up to 10% out of area and overnight, primarily during the business day.
