Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a volunteer at the Kent Fuller Air Station Prairie / Tyner Center. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to share your love of history and nature with visitors, while also contributing to the preservation of the prairie.

Responsibilities
  • Provide historical and environmental programming and interpretation to school groups, tour groups, and events.
  • Assist with natural area restoration work, such as brush cutting and seed collection.
  • Support the District's environmental initiatives, including recycling, conserving resources, and preventing pollution.
Qualifications

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Children ages 8-15 are eligible to volunteer when accompanied by an adult for all training and service. Volunteers must possess the ability to communicate effectively to patrons and staff.
