Job Overview

Sun City of Cascadia LLC is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to contribute to our mission of providing exceptional care in a supportive environment.

Position Overview:

Under the guidance of nursing staff, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in delivering fundamental nursing support and aiding residents with their daily living tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responds to resident needs through the nurse call system.
  • Assists residents with personal care, including dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, and incontinence management.
  • Facilitates meal service by obtaining food trays and assisting residents during meals.
  • Supports residents with mobility exercises and transitions to/from wheelchairs or activity areas.
  • Helps with resident positioning and turning in bed.
  • Assists with ambulation as per facility guidelines.
  • Monitors and records vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates, along with food and fluid intake/output as instructed.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of activities of daily living (ADLs) and personal care provided.
  • Participates in interdisciplinary meetings to contribute to resident care plans.
  • Documents restorative services in accordance with facility policies.
  • Collaborates with staff to deliver personalized care based on resident preferences.
  • Ensures consistent attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Completes other assigned tasks as necessary.
  • Adheres to company policies, applicable laws, and professional standards in all job functions.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Licenses/Certification:

  • Current certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Experience:

  • Preferred six months of experience in a long-term care setting.

Note: Compliance with background check requirements is mandatory for all employees prior to engaging with residents.
