As a key member of the management team, this role will provide strategic and operational leadership for the designated modalities, ensuring the technical and behavioral performance of direct reports, workflows, and utilization of all related equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement modality policies and procedures in collaboration with the Medical Director and Managerial oversight, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards and regulations.
  • Lead clinical staff in the designated modalities, facilitating a productive workflow for efficient department operation, and resolving clinical/functional issues.
  • Collaborate with departmental leadership to plan, implement, and evaluate budgetary functions, capital needs, personnel performance, staff scheduling, and educational activities.
  • Provide feedback on staff performance, train and orient imaging personnel in procedures, equipment, and information systems, and actively participate in coaching/mentoring staff in all aspects of job performance.
  • Oversee documentation of patient care activity in various electronic health records systems, and troubleshoot issues with images transmission, missing reports, and billing rejections.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Certificate in the radiologic technology field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a clinical imaging professional.
  • Certification in one of the following: RAD, CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, PET CT, Nuclear Medicine, or Interventional Radiology.
  • Licensed Radiographer - State of Maryland as applicable.
