Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Department Manager to join our team. As a Pharmacy Department Manager, you will be responsible for supervising pharmacy staff, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, including inventory management, personnel management, and customer service.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, work assignments, performance reviews, and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures set forth by the company, including federal and state laws.
- Lead clinical programs, including medication therapy management, diabetic education classes, health screenings, and immunizations.
- Attend regular meetings with store management to review metrics, set goals, and objectives.
- Resolve temperature excursions in the pharmacy and develop response plans to maintain the integrity of refrigerated medication.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in pharmacy or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmacy management or supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
