About the Role

As a Mortgage Closer at Florida Credit Union, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mortgage department. Under limited supervision, you will be responsible for closing and post-closing first mortgages for sale in the secondary market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Control and Closing Package Preparation: Review documents for accuracy and completeness, prepare closing packages, and approve final Closing Disclosures.
  • Authorization and Funding: Authorize funding after reviewing documents for accuracy and audit original closing packages.
  • Secondary Market Management: Transfer loans to the secondary market, update mortgage software, and track final documents.
  • File Management: Prepare files for delivery to optical for scanning and update mortgage software to reflect all closing and post-closing information.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or GED combined with 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on experience.
  • A current driver's license.
