ProxsysRx is a leading pharmacy services provider, offering innovative solutions to patients in need of quality care. We are currently seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Terrebonne General Hospital in Houma, LA.
About the Role:
This position involves providing exceptional patient care and support as part of our retail pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with various tasks, including prescription filling, insurance adjudication, and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist pharmacists in filling prescriptions accurately and efficiently
* Evaluate patient information for completeness and accuracy, verifying written prescriptions or refill requests
* Maintain confidential medical histories while adhering to HIPAA regulations
* Provide top-notch customer service, responding to patient inquiries and requests
* Select and count medications, label them correctly, and place completed prescriptions in a designated area for pharmacist verification

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
* A current Louisiana Pharmacy Technician license in good standing with the LA Board of Pharmacy
* At least two years of experience as a pharmacy technician, preferably with a Cpht national license
* Excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
Estimated Salary Range:
The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000-$60,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
