Educational Support Specialist for Speech Therapy

Job Summary: The Educational Support Specialist for Speech Therapy provides support services to students with speech and language disorders. The ideal candidate will have experience working with school-age children and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication
  • Work with students who have moderate to severe learning, physical, and/or emotional disabilities
  • Provide support services to students with speech and language disorders

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of college (48 units) or passing the District's assessment demonstrating knowledge and skills in assisting instruction or passing the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
  • Valid California driver's license
