Department Overview:
Transportation Services plays a vital role in enhancing campus accessibility through sustainable practices and exceptional customer service, while managing transportation resources effectively.
Role Summary:
The individual in this role is responsible for safeguarding individuals and property while enforcing parking regulations within the university community. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting security services through both vehicular and foot patrols.
- Providing assistance with vehicle-related issues, including jump-starts and tire changes.
- Offering directions and security escorts as needed.
- Supporting the UNT Police Department in law enforcement and traffic management.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. A valid driver's license may be necessary for operating motorized vehicles, including golf carts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Candidates should possess:
- The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Familiarity with campus geography and building locations.
- Physical stamina for extensive standing, walking, and outdoor exposure.
- The capability to lift items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Normal vision and hearing abilities.
- Skills in using alarm and access devices, police radio equipment, and basic office technology.
- Decision-making skills in adherence to procedures and guidelines.
- The ability to perform under pressure or in emergency situations.
- A satisfactory driving record and the ability to maintain insurability under the university's liability policy.

Work Schedule:
Hours and days may vary, typically Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
