Job Summary: We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Froedtert Hospital. As a CNA, you will provide delegated age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner. You will assist patients with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care skills, and basic restorative services. You will practice and perform what was taught during your CNA training and certification or learned during basic nursing courses at an accredited school for professional nurses. You may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This job reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager of the assigned unit and the RNs on duty on each assigned shift. Other duties as assigned. Requirements:
  • State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification is required, otherwise must be currently enrolled in a nursing program and able to provide documentation from an accredited school for professional nurses indicating successful completion of the basic nursing course which encompasses all of the criteria noted by the State of Wisconsin administrative code.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
