Position Overview

Beverage Specialists are essential in transforming Guests into devoted Fans at Primanti Bros. Engaging interactions while guiding the Fan through our extensive food and drink options encourage repeat visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm and welcoming service to each Fan from the initial greeting to the conclusion of their Primanti Bros. experience.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the menu, effectively explaining options to the Fan, and informing them of current food & beverage promotions, Happy Hour specials, and upcoming events.
  • Ensure all beverages are crafted according to Primanti Bros. standards.
  • Process food orders and time the delivery according to the Fan's requests.
  • Follow up post-delivery to confirm the accuracy of the food order.
  • Maintain cleanliness at the bar by practicing pre-bussing, removing clutter, and checking drink levels.
  • Adhere to alcohol awareness protocols for age verification, preventing overconsumption, and managing potentially intoxicated Fans.
  • Handle payment transactions for food and drinks in accordance with established accounting procedures.
  • Keep the bar area organized, tidy, and well-stocked.
  • Ensure daily bar inventories align with POS totals and maintain balanced POS systems.
  • Comply with all safety and sanitation regulations throughout the shift.
  • Complete opening, shift change, and closing checklists, as well as weekly and monthly cleaning tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient in reading and writing the English language.
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly demeanor, and a strong focus on customer service.
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, courteous, and capable of multitasking.
  • Basic math skills are essential.
  • Completion of RAMP and/or TIPS certification as required by state regulations.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for the entirety of the shift.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and cleaning are required.
  • Able to operate the POS system, handle cash, and accurately process credit card transactions.
  • Must be able to lift and deliver food and beverages, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent immersion of hands in water is necessary.
