Job Description

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing high-quality medical care to inmates/detainees. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with our Registered Nurse (RN) to develop and implement nursing care plans, conduct physical assessments, and provide medication administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop nursing care plans with guidance from the RN.
  • Perform complete physical assessment and medical history.
  • Provide nursing care within your capacity and refer other medical problems to the appropriate physician.
  • Make sure prescribed medications are administered as instructed.
  • Periodically evaluate patients' symptoms, reactions, and progress, and report problems to management.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a current, unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state where the facility is located. A minimum of two years of direct work experience is preferred, with competence in crisis intervention, medical emergencies, physical assessment, medical nursing care, and psychiatric nursing care. You must also have the ability to work without direct supervision and possess excellent communication skills.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
