Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our esteemed healthcare team. This role involves assessing and providing therapeutic interventions for patients with speech and language disorders.

Department: Speech Pathology

Work Schedule: PRN, with operational hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including rotating weekends (minimum one per month) and on-call duties for Sundays and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and implement effective treatment plans for patients requiring speech-language therapy.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding therapy processes and expectations.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to performance improvement protocols.
  • Assist in planning patient discharges from therapy services and recommend suitable support programs.

Qualifications:

Licensure / Certification:

  • Current BLS certification required within one month of hire.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist credential from the Kansas Department of Aging and Disability Services is mandatory prior to employment.
  • Preferred: Credential from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A Master's degree is preferred.

Additional Preferences:

Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence is advantageous.
