Pediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at SIU Medicine. As an academic physician, you will play a key role in the practice and teaching of Emergency Medicine to medical students, residents, and allied health professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching (25%): Participate in and direct conferences and seminars, provide bedside teaching of emergency medicine, and oversee emergency medicine rotations.
- Research (5%): Initiate clinical and educational research efforts and work to obtain funding for support of research and education.
- Service (70%): Provide high-quality emergency medicine practice, consultative and diagnostic services to house staff and other physicians, and participate in departmental, medical school, and hospital committees.
- Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine
- Successful completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency or Pediatric Residency
- Successful completion of a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship
- Possess an IL Medical license or be eligible for an IL Medical license
