HVAC Technician

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Bacchus, Utah. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems across the plant, as well as performing maintenance on industrial electrical equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including electrical and instrumentation schematics
• Perform maintenance on industrial electrical equipment, such as robotics, air compressors, electric generators, and DC & AC motor controllers
• Install and maintain industrial refrigeration systems, including raceways, enclosures, lighting systems, and wiring systems
• Repair and troubleshoot industrial refrigeration systems, including evaporator coils, condenser coils, and cooling towers
• Work with electronically controlled valve systems and pneumatic controlled multi-zoned air handlers

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing industry as a HVAC Technician and/or Service Technician
• Section 608 EPA Universal Certification
• 5 years of industrial or heavy commercial experience
• Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation schematics
• Ability to read and troubleshoot using electrical/instrumentation schematics

• Knowledge of SCADA control systems hardware and software programming
• Knowledge of screw, reciprocating, and scroll chillers
• Steam heat exchangers for hot water loop systems and experience with steam coils
• Knowledge of industrial ventilation
• Install and maintenance of industrial refrigeration equipment and computer climate control systems
