Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dishroom Attendant at Kent School. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our dishroom and kitchen areas.

Responsibilities
  • Operate the dish machine during service, loading dirty dishes and pans into the machine.
  • Monitor the dishroom and kitchen areas during service to maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards.
  • Assist with afternoon prep and restocking for the next day's service.
  • Sweep the dining room and servery after lunch and perform spot mopping as needed.
  • Recommend changes to improve efficiencies and maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Ensure all items are labeled for identification and maintain ownership of the station's storage areas.
Requirements
  • A High School degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Servsafe certification is required (will be provided if needed).
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time effectively.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this role include standing for extended periods, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance.
