Financial Records Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, investigate, and manage accounts payable and inventory data entry tasks.
- Execute essential accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow oversight.
- Maintain accurate records of all funds received, ensuring receipts and cash tapes are matched and balanced. Facilitate deposits.
- Generate vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other documentation, both digitally and manually.
- Organize and categorize documents, such as invoices and checks, that validate business transactions.
- Confirm and record details of financial transactions, including funds received and disbursed, and reconcile accounts.
- Support the Controller with year-end closing and audit preparations.
- Carry out payroll responsibilities as assigned.
- Provide backup assistance for other clerical roles within the finance department and take on their responsibilities when needed.
- Assist in preparing bank reconciliations for all branches.
- Conduct data entry for inventory across all locations.
- Perform additional job functions as required.
- A minimum of two years of experience in an accounting position is required.
- Proficiency in Excel and payroll software is essential.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
- Ability to consistently implement business office and operational policies and procedures.
- Capable of communicating with clients and colleagues in a courteous, professional, and confident manner.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Operational knowledge of office equipment and tools, including but not limited to fax machines, copiers, printers, calculators, telephone systems, spreadsheets, forms, and point-of-sale systems.
- Computer literacy to effectively utilize business systems and software, including MS Office.
- Adept at performing mathematical calculations accurately.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Skilled in completing paperwork, reports, and other documentation in a clear, organized, and timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to prioritize and complete tasks within set deadlines.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to work extended hours to meet business needs.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
- A valid driver's license may be necessary.
Compensation: Starting at $45,000
