Position Overview:
The Residential Program Supervisor will assist the Residential Manager in the daily management of the residential services by providing direct support to the individuals served by Chrysalis. This role is crucial in ensuring that the medical and recreational needs of the residents are met, including transportation to medical appointments and other essential outings. The Supervisor will follow the directives of the Residential Manager in executing the necessary responsibilities of the home and must be available for on-call duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the health and well-being of individuals.
- Exhibit punctuality and consistent attendance to ensure effective oversight of residents.
- Remain alert and responsive, facilitating effective communication with residents.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Person-Centered Plans.
- Oversee the adherence to Behavior Plans and Supervision Guidelines.
- Plan nutritious weekly menus.
- Support residents in making informed purchases at grocery stores.
- Educate residents on basic financial management skills.
- Ensure adequate stock of household supplies.
- Comply with driving policy requirements.
- Supervise and manage staff effectively.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and hours.
- Provide training for new staff, ensuring compliance with training timelines.
- Facilitate ongoing training for employees.
- Complete necessary documentation and ensure house records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Track individual progress and create newsletters or scrapbook pages.
- Develop and maintain an activity calendar.
- Ensure a healthy and clean living environment for residents.
- Supervise staff adherence to cleaning protocols.
- Guarantee that residents receive proper nutrition.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or Residential Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least six months of relevant experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Training and Certifications:
- Complete all initial and ongoing training requirements within designated timeframes.
- Undergo management training as required.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Person-Centered Plans and the ability to create effective goals.
- Understanding of relevant policies and codes of conduct.
- Strong public relations skills when interacting with families.
- Effective communication skills with medical, professional, and state personnel.
- Ability to manage personnel issues positively.
- Competence in managing individual finances (e.g., budgeting, balancing accounts).
- Demonstrated good judgment and crisis management skills.
- Basic proficiency in word processing.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a service-oriented attitude.
