Radiographer-Vascular Interventional Specialist

UnityPoint Health is seeking a skilled Radiographer-Vascular Interventional Lab professional to join our team. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing sterile diagnostic and interventional radiographic procedures in our state-of-the-art Vascular and IR suites.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians with sterile procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring aseptic and sterile techniques are observed.
Maintain intra-arterial access as prescribed by Interventional Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, and Cardiologists, and participate in physiologic monitoring of patients.
Utilize proper positioning criteria and technical exposure factors, ensuring study accuracy and transferring images into PACS.
Assist with sheath removal using vascular closure devices and hold arterial pressure until hemostasis.
Requirements:
1-2 years of Interventional Radiology training/experience.
Knowledge of procedure-specific equipment, including Thrombectomy Devices, Atherectomy Devices, Sonosite US, and other endovascular specific devices.
Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Interventional and Vascular Radiology, and communicate effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
Independent judgment and ability to anticipate physician needs, with ingenuity and initiative character on a daily basis.
