Housekeeping Specialist

Job Summary
The Sheffield-Sheffield Lake Consolidated School District seeks a skilled Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our school facilities. As a key member of our support staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that our schools provide a healthy and productive learning environment.

About the Role
This is a 260-day per year position with opportunities for contracted holidays. The successful candidate will work 2.5 hours per day at a base rate of pay: $15.78/hr. In this role, you will report directly to the Business Manager or designee and will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of school facilities as assigned, including cleaning windows inside and out, keeping walks, steps, and entrances free of snow, ice, and debris as necessary, and performing such other duties as assigned by Custodian, Business Manager or designee.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess a high school diploma or its equivalent and have prior successful experience as a cleaner, preferred. You should also have general knowledge of cleaning and housekeeping, ability to do relevant mathematical calculations, and such additional qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate and necessary under law. Such additional qualifications shall not be arbitrary or capricious.
