Job Summary:

The Operations Coach is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in managing a high-performing team at Cumberland Farms. This team is responsible for handling products safely, efficiently, and effectively as they move through the facility. The Coach is responsible for assigning tasks to team members and responding to changing workflow conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Location Management to ensure the prompt, efficient, and accurate handling of merchandise.
  • Monitor the productivity and accuracy of team members.
  • Ensure all team members have specific responsibilities.
  • Coach and train team members to ensure competence and prepare them for future opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as directed by Management, including operating mechanical equipment and ensuring all safety rules and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure assigned equipment and work areas are neat, clean, and well-organized.
  • Implement and follow all Cumberland Farms policies and procedures.
  • Perform cleaning and organizing tasks, such as trash removal, clearing aisles, and removing broken pallets.

Working Relationships:

The Operations Coach will work closely with DC Team members, DC Coaches, FSS, DC Support teams, and BSC.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma
  • Preferred Education: Associates Degree
  • Minimum Experience: 2-5 years Fast-paced management (Distribution Center experienced preferred)
  • Preferred Experience: 5+ Years Distribution Center supervisory experience
  • Licenses/Certifications: N/A

  • Ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts among team members
  • Approaches change optimistically and adjusts quickly to changing work environments

Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and balance for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and carry cases and totes weighing up to 60 lbs

Travel and Schedule:

  • None

Working Conditions:

  • Exposure to vibrations, dust, dirt, noise, fumes, and chemicals
  • Working in hot and cold temperature extremes (extremes vary between 100° Fahrenheit -20° Fahrenheit)
