Job Description

This Oncology Nurse Specialist role provides direct nursing care to patients with cancer and related conditions. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, monitoring and recording patient condition as appropriate, serving as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders, assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, and performing other tasks as required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date, with a diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR required professional licensure at time of hire. A minimum one year oncology nursing experience is strongly preferred.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $44.92 per hour, based on industry standards and location.
