Position Overview

The Clinical Psychology Program in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at UMass Amherst invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions. We seek outstanding scientists with established records of success and innovative research programs addressing major issues in mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses relevant to clinical psychology, including practicum supervision with clinical licensure in Massachusetts within 3 years.
  • Develop and maintain a research program with potential for sustained extramural funding, paradigm changes in public policy, and/or pioneering new areas in clinical psychology.
  • Supervise undergraduate and graduate students, including clinical supervision.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a closely related field by the date of hire.
  • Training consistent with eligibility for clinical licensure in Massachusetts.
  • Excellent record of scholarly achievement.
  • Dedication to centering and enhancing excellence in inclusiveness and belonging in research, teaching, service, and/or outreach.
