Nurse Job Description:
Roper St. Francis Healthcare seeks a dedicated and experienced Patient Care Coordinator to join our Nephrology PCU (5EAST) - Roper Hospital team. As a Primary Charge Nurse I, you will be responsible for overseeing patient care, guiding your team, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. This leadership role requires a seasoned registered nurse with a strong foundation in clinical skills, communication, and critical thinking.

About the Role:
- Provide high-quality patient care according to established standards and practices
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff members to ensure effective teamwork
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patient needs
- Participate in quality improvement projects and implement evidence-based practice changes
- Maintain accurate records and reports

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly
- Lead unit-based shared governance and participate in decentralized decision-making structures and processes
- Provide education and training to nursing staff members and students

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN required)
- At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse in a direct patient care setting
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina or a compact/multi-state license
- American Heart Association BLS certification (ACLS and PALS certifications are also required within 60 days of hire)

Salary:
$85,000-$110,000 per year
