Job Title: UI/UX Designer

Job Summary:

DCS Corp is seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to join our team. As a UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for creating user-centered design solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex UI/UX problems in coordination with the software development team.
  • Interface with local human factors groups to analyze and optimize user workflows via UI/UX for fielded targeting tools.
  • Coordinate with multiple development teams on UI/UX consistency.
  • Develop/Update UI/UX guides for software development.
  • Create various UI elements inherent in software development (logos, icons, etc.)
  • Create various video content including demonstrations and tutorials.
  • Coordinate with human factors teams to improve software intuitiveness.
  • Attend UI/UX oriented meetings, including representing DCS Corp and its various product lines in meetings with external collaborative development teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 plus years of relevant experience.
  • Create engaging video content, including tutorials and demonstrations that effectively communicate the functionality and operational use cases of the software.
  • Must possess strong organizational, oral communication, writing, and planning skills to manage the timelines and needs of changing customer requirements.
  • Ability to pick up new tools as the job demands, the tools currently in use by DCS Corp for UI/UX design include but are not limited to:
    • Axure
    • Gimp
    • Paint 3D
    • Photoshop
    • Camtasia
    • Snipping Tool
    • Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills:

  • Be open learning frontend programming/GUI (Graphical User Interface) programming.
  • Be open to learning Frontend Programming, including building Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) controls utilizing XAML (Extensible Application Markup Language) as well as an introduction to C#.
