Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and personal preferences.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, administering medications, and conducting vital sign checks.
- Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in critical care nursing.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
- Previous experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, and other certifications as required by the hospital.
