Pacu Nurse Specialist

This is a full-time position working a day shift with call and rotation in the main Operating Room at Northwest Sahuarita Hospital.

The Northwest Sahuarita Hospital features 2 OR's providing general surgery services, as well as orthopedic, podiatry, and Endoscopy/GI services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate assigned patients and plan, implement, and document nursing care.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.
• Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

Requirements:

• Associate's or Diploma in nursing program.
• Clinical experience in area of expertise preferred.
• Current Arizona RN license or compact state license.
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) BLS, ACLS & PALS.
