Work Schedule: PRN
Position Summary: The Occupational Therapist is accountable for the assessment, planning, execution, treatment, and documentation of occupational therapy services for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient medical histories, develop treatment plans and objectives, and instruct patients on the use of adaptive technologies.
- Assist individuals facing disabilities, injuries, or illnesses in their recovery and adaptation through everyday activities, demonstrating exercises aimed at alleviating pain and enhancing mobility.
- Deliver tailored care based on a thorough understanding of specific conditions, diseases, and therapeutic interventions relevant to diverse patient populations.
- Assess patients' physical, psychological, social, and educational requirements to determine the appropriate level and type of care.
- Create and maintain up-to-date patient treatment plans that encompass patient challenges, objectives, and interventions.
- Provide care in accordance with patient acuity levels, identified needs, and physician directives.
- Evaluate, collaborate, and coordinate discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
- Assess the learning needs, capabilities, and readiness of patients and families, integrating these into the care plan.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Current state OT License
- BLS Certification
- At least one year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in critical or acute care.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented, team-focused, and goal-driven.
- Professional, positive, and empathetic attitude.
- Flexibility in work schedule.
