Job Summary

Servers at Hall of Fame Village are the face of our dining experience, providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring a memorable experience. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for taking orders, making menu recommendations, and ensuring that food and beverages are served promptly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm, friendly, and professional service to all guests.
  • Address guest needs and requests promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Work cohesively with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to meet service standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in the dining area, kitchen, or bar.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure compliance with local regulations.
  • Execute tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ensure accuracy in all aspects of the job, from order taking to food preparation and billing.
  • Address any issues or concerns during service promptly and professionally.
  • Assist in finding solutions to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Engage with guests in a polite and respectful manner to ensure they feel valued.
  • Handle guest feedback and complaints with a focus on resolution.
  • Participate in training sessions and stay informed about menu changes and policies.
  • Continuously improve skills and knowledge relevant to your role.
Requirements
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years serving experience, preferably in full-service environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary).
  • Must be a flexible and reliable team player, both within own department and entire organization.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of performance, working quickly without compromising quality.
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding confidential matters while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Proven ability in Microsoft Office Suite and other Point of Sales Systems.
Physical Requirements
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions, inside and outside.
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
  • The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.
  • The ability to sit, stand, squat, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.
  • Must be able to hear, see, and speak.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions and retain information.
  • Must have manual dexterity necessary to complete all job duties.
  • Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.
