Job Summary:

Centstone is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Room department. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care and demonstrate competent clinical practice.
  • Triage patients, obtain patient history and vital signs, and assess patients.
  • Act independently to initiate immediate care in the absence of a physician in life-threatening situations.
  • Provide care for the acutely ill as well as the non-acute patient.
  • Perform multiple procedures utilizing both complex and simple nursing skills and assist the physician with their procedures.
  • Provide comfort both physical and psychological to the patient, their family, and visitors.
  • Provide discharge and follow-up instructions to the patient and family.
  • Answer the ambulance radios and give appropriate orders for prehospital care.
  • Work with multiple types of sophisticated equipment and handle various types of patients in a frequently stressful environment.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with 2 years of experience required.
  • ET Nursing experience with recent/current 2 years required.
  • Prior Travel Nursing experience highly preferred.
  • Covid Vaccination required.

Education, License, and Certification Requirements:

  • ASN or an equivalent required.
  • BSN or an equivalent highly preferred.
  • RN License for State of MI required.
  • BLS and ACLS Certification from AHA required.
