Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced high school mathematics teacher to join our team at Novel Prep. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and the ability to teach a range of courses, including Algebra I, Honors Algebra I, Algebra II, Honors Algebra II, Geometry, Honors Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Pre-Calculus Honors, AP Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, Statistics, and AP Statistics.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with curriculum standards and objectives.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect for diverse perspectives.
  • Meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with special needs and English language learners, through various teaching methods.
  • Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and share best practices.
  • Stay updated on developments in mathematics education, including new teaching methods and educational technologies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and school activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • Valid teaching certificate/license in secondary Mathematics.
  • At least two years of teaching experience at the high school level within the past two years.
  • Familiarity with various teaching strategies, assessment techniques, and educational technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education, with the ability to create inclusive learning environments.
  • Passion for mathematics, education, and the teaching profession.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to embrace new challenges and opportunities for professional development.
