About the Role

The Inventory Control Manager at Good Day Farm is responsible for leading and executing the facility's inventory needs, including supply chain purchasing, receiving, product packaging, and order fulfillment. This position drives the facility's inventory program and ensures product orders are fulfilled accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an inventory tracking system to record receiving shipments and purchase operational supplies.
  • Build and manage a team of inventory professionals, including receiving, purchasing, fulfillment, and transport drivers.
  • Perform regular inventory cycle counts on supplies and finished product, with analysis and reconciliation completed.
  • Conduct daily and weekly inventory audits, matching physical inventory to internal tracking, METRC, and Leaf Link systems inventory.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure weekly stock is available, organized, and updated.
  • Oversee internal inventory transfers to verify quality control, regulatory compliance, and physical counts.
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of state medical marijuana rules and regulations.
  • Create an order fulfillment process to accept, schedule, pack, and stage orders for delivery.
  • Work with the sales team on all incoming and outgoing orders to ensure flawless execution.
  • Oversee inventory meetings to ensure packaging supplies and finished product meet customer demand.
  • Work with accounts payable and compliance on invoicing or order issues requiring research and investigation.
  • Oversee all aspects of product packaging inventory, including ordering, auditing, and forecasting.
  • Reduce loss through efficient ordering and identification of waste.
  • Train existing and new employees to perform essential job functions.
  • Manage time and attendance and performance of employees.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with the team.
  • Capable of working without supervision.
  • Understands compliance regulations and adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for specialized areas.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong ethics and reliability.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Two to four years of experience.
  • Experience using data entry software (i.e., Excel) and comfortable learning and using new software.
  • Physical Requirements: The ability to lift fifty pounds regularly. The ability to respond quickly to sounds. The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces. The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations. The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day. The ability to sit or stand for up to 12 hours at a time.
