Job Summary

Parker's Building Supply is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Counter Sales Representative to join our team in a retail environment. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized showroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with sales process, including taking orders, answering questions, and receiving payment
  • Process customer sales transactions using a cash register and maintain accurate records
  • Provide initial response to customer inquiries regarding product selection, pricing, and quotations
  • Facilitate product selection for scheduled and walk-in showroom customers
  • Maintain stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom
  • Assist with physical inventory and maintain a clean and organized showroom
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of building material knowledge and sales experience preferred
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of building materials, applications, and related equipment
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, including weekends and evening schedules as required. The ideal candidate will be able to drive and walk throughout yards, plants, and offices.
