This position entails leading a team of property supervisors, ensuring that all properties uphold exceptional quality standards, and working collaboratively with various departments to support our mission of delivering quality housing. The ideal candidate will possess robust leadership capabilities, extensive knowledge of property oversight, and the ability to produce results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the performance of a portfolio of properties, typically comprising 7-10 locations.
  • Assess and monitor financial outcomes, occupancy levels, and tenant satisfaction.
  • Guide, mentor, and cultivate a team of property supervisors and support personnel.
  • Provide training and resources to ensure the success of property management teams.
  • Formulate and manage property budgets to enhance financial outcomes.
  • Analyze financial statements, identify discrepancies, and implement necessary corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant housing regulations, including Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC).
  • Work in conjunction with the Compliance Manager to uphold compliance standards across all properties.
  • Oversee property maintenance and capital enhancement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams and contractors to guarantee properties are well-kept and secure for residents.
  • Monitor leasing activities and occupancy statistics.
  • Address tenant inquiries and ensure a high level of tenant satisfaction.
  • Manage vendor partnerships, negotiate service agreements, and ensure cost-effective and quality service delivery.
  • Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in property management, with a successful track record in overseeing multiple properties.
  • Familiarity with affordable housing regulations, including LIHTC and HUD guidelines preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Exceptional financial insight and budget management experience.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary within the designated area.
