About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead our strategic partnerships initiatives in the defense, aerospace, and intelligence sectors. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying, establishing, and expanding strategic partnerships with major primes and government agencies.

Responsibilities
• Drive revenue growth and expand market reach within major prime contractors and U.S. Government program/contracting agencies (Army, Air Force, Space Force, Navy, DHS) aligned with Knowmadics' capabilities and strategic objectives.
• Build and maintain Knowmadics' relationships with large government primes, subsystem providers, and innovators to enhance collaboration and drive business opportunities.
• Identify and pursue contracting and subcontracting opportunities on major defense, aerospace, and intelligence programs of record.
• Develop and maintain engagement plans, including targeted contact lists, key conferences, and industry events, to foster strategic partnerships and business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams and technical leads to drive targeted engagement, provide strategic input, and assist with presentations and planning.
• Provide thought leadership and expertise to internal stakeholders, partners, and customers on EW solutions and market trends.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one within the first 12 months.
• 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales within the defense, aerospace, or intelligence sectors.
• Proven track record of securing contracting agreements with major primes and government agencies.
• Strong existing network within the government and prime contractors, ideally within the Electronic warfare domain.
• Exceptional oral presentation and writing skills—must be able to effectively communicate complex ideas to executive leadership, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of government contracting, including FAR/DFARS, OTAs, and navigating the government procurement processes.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic business development plans.
• Strong industry knowledge and market expertise in EW solutions preferred.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage priorities, work independently, and deliver results.

Working Conditions
• Remote work is permitted, but the candidate must be able to travel as needed, primarily in the USA.
