Job Title: Rad Tech

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Florida. The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and possess the necessary certifications and licenses.

Job Summary:

The Rad Tech will be responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring accurate images, and preparing patients for radiologic testing. Key tasks include confirming patient identification, reviewing imaging requests, and explaining procedures to patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support
  • Position patients and adjust imaging equipment to ensure accurate images
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure and take appropriate protection precautions
  • Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review
  • Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a Rad Tech
  • ARRT (R) National Certification
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • State-specific licensing (when required)

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. They should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.

Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
