Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in the Crown Point area. This position will involve working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple school buildings.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to support student success
  • Provide direct therapy services to students, including speech and language interventions
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure student progress and achievement
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with best practices
Qualifications:
  • For SLP: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, current state licensure in Indiana, and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
  • For SLPA: Bachelors or Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program, current state certification or licensure in Indiana as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites
