We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager and Estimator to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing diverse commercial construction projects from start to finish.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our estimating team during the preconstruction phase to ensure accurate project estimates.
  • Read and interpret construction plans and specifications to identify potential issues and opportunities.
  • Mentor less experienced project management staff on the daily duties required to manage a construction project effectively.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our team's existing owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to identify and pursue future project opportunities.
  • Oversee the procurement of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely completion of buyouts, scope of work reviews, contract writing, insurance, and bonding reviews.
  • Guide the research and recommendation of resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts, and errors.
  • Manage the team responsible for processing all submittals, RFIs, change order proposals, owner billings, time sheet management, subcontractor/vendor billings, monthly reports, and other project-related tasks.
  • Ensure the preparation of timely owner billings by verifying work-in-place quantities and billings from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Verify the production of accurate monthly cost projections, which forecast total estimated costs at completion.
  • Oversight of creating and monitoring project schedules and production of progress updates.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications or equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of experience managing diverse commercial construction projects.
  • Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and communicate effectively with team members, industry partners, and clients.
  • Strong financial management skills and the ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with a team and independently.
