Recreational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team at Perimeter Behavioral Health. As a key member of our residential program, you will play a vital role in helping adolescents ages 12 to 17 years old achieve their full potential.

• Assess residents' needs and develop personalized recreation plans to promote social development and skill-building.
• Maintain a safe and engaging environment for residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs that align with residents' goals and needs.
• Provide individual and group recreation activities that foster social skills, emotional regulation, and cognitive development.
• Document residents' progress and behavior, providing valuable insights for the clinical team.
• Develop and lead recreation services that promote resident engagement, motivation, and empowerment.

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related field.
• Current certification as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or willingness to obtain certification.
• At least one year of experience working with children or adolescents in a residential setting.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain BLS and SAMSA verbal de-escalation certification within 30 days of hire.
