This position collaborates closely with various teams, including analytical, operational, legal, and compliance, to uphold the integrity and consistency of Fitch's ratings.
About the Credit Policy Group:
CPG serves as Fitch's second line of defense, playing a crucial role in monitoring and enhancing the company's controls. Reporting to the Group Chief Risk Officer, the group acts as a 'challenger' function, identifying credit risks that necessitate further scrutiny and providing alternative perspectives on ongoing credit matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify emerging and immediate credit risks that require heightened analytical attention.
- Challenge existing credit assessments by offering alternative viewpoints to analytical teams.
- Evaluate Fitch's rating performance and contribute to strategic discussions regarding credit policies.
- Engage in senior regulatory interactions concerning Structured Finance & Covered Bonds.
- Facilitate communication across regions to ensure a unified approach to credit issues.
- Lead research initiatives on significant credit themes and collaborate with other Group Credit Officers to address cross-sector credit matters.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in a senior analytical ratings role, with a strong focus on credit and rating analysis in the Structured Finance & Covered Bonds sector. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a proven ability to engage stakeholders constructively and demonstrate independent thought.
