Job Summary and Qualifications

The Multimodal Imaging Technologist is responsible for performing both invasive and non-invasive procedures on a diverse patient population according to the needs of the modality or department. This role requires the use of sterile techniques when necessary, operation of complex imaging equipment, and assistance to physicians as needed. Continuous education, acquired skills, and experience will be utilized in this position. The Multimodal Imaging Technologist must work independently to produce high-quality imaging studies and is expected to operate within at least two qualifying modalities as directed by department managers or supervisors. Responsibilities include performing all duties related to primary and post-primary imaging modalities, including Diagnostic, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound, as well as Mammography and Bone Densitometry.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) program.
  • License: ARRT registered with post-primary certification in at least one additional qualifying discipline, or must obtain registry and maintain current certification on the credentialing website for specified imaging modalities within designated timeframes. BLS certification is also required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a multi-disciplined Radiology Department is essential.
  • Preferred Experience: Two years of experience in an advanced discipline is preferred.
