Job Summary:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Christus Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Under the supervision of our experienced clinicians, you will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients within the state's scope of LPN/LVN practice, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for each individual.
- Work closely with clinicians and other team members to facilitate quality care, addressing the unique needs of each patient.
- Perform general nursing care, including administering treatments and assisting with equipment preparation, to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Observe, record, and report patients' conditions and reactions to treatments, providing valuable insights to our clinical team.
- Oversee appointment bookings, prioritizing emergency situations and maintaining a timely flow of patients.
- Greet patients, obtain well-documented histories and vitals, and prepare them for physical exams, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
- May perform additional tasks in accordance with established procedures and applicable licensure/certification, as prescribed by our clinical team.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing.
- Previous medical office experience is preferred, but not required.
- Valid state license to practice nursing.
- Current BLS certification.
